BOWA Emerging Leaders Program
BOWA Emerging Leaders Program was organically born out of quality community partnerships and the need to develop the next generation of construction professionals. The BOWA Emerging Leaders program is more than just a traditional internship. Our approach is different because we understand the definition of diverse talent. Our current team comprises professionals who have gone on different journeys that have led them to construction. We appreciate what each member brings to the table. Because of that belief, we are continually sourcing our talent through nontraditional ways. Everyone is built in different ways and must walk a different path. We know that the next generation of construction professionals and leaders represent that belief.
There are two pathways for the Bowa Emerging Leaders Program – The Inspire Pathway & The Collaborate Pathway. Read below to find out more information and apply for the pathway that fits you best.
Inspire Pathway
Inspire Pathway—This internship is open to all full-time students enrolled in an accredited university focusing on architecture, engineering, construction, or a related degree. Students must pursue an Associate’s, Bachelor’s, or Master’s degree.
The Inspire Pathway offers a unique opportunity for full-time university students to gain direct exposure to a professional career as a general contractor. This isn’t just about theoretical learning; it’s about applying what you learn in the classroom to real-world situations. It’s a chance to get your hands dirty and see the impact of your work in the office and on-site.
Collaborate Pathway
This is a BOWA Gives partnership opportunities open to all local organizations supporting teens and young adults. These individuals do not have to have formal education in the field; they should have a strong interest in architecture, construction, or engineering careers. Organizations interested in this partnership should complete the interest form below.
This path is for an individual who will receive hands-on training and experience. This may be their first time working in the industry, but the goal is to foster a strong relationship with an individual and create a different pipeline for industry talent.
